Incomplete Neighbor formed in the early months of 2008. Brandon and Tyson had been working on forming a band since they met in Williams, Arizona. In 2004 Brandon moved out to San Diego with his family, and Tyson followed soon after. The two met George and Clint while the former was recording tracks for a friend at Brandon's recording studio.

The debut album, Suspended Electric Coma, was released in May 2009. The band recorded at Brandon's studio, and he earns credit for engineering, while the whole band takes credit for writing and producing the album. Each member also contributed several original paintings for the over 10 pieces of art that are included in the album artwork.

Aside from writing and recording their debut album, Inomcplete Neighbor has made a name for itself among local artists and concert goers through their pop-psychadelic tendencies, and high energy performances. The SD Reader covered the band in a feature article for their mid-June issue, while Local 94.9 DJ, Tim Pyles, has distinguished Incomplete Neighbor with the honor of "Local Recommended Album" for July/August. And both 91X, and 94.9 have included the songs "small," "half," and "pillownoise" in their regular rotation.

The band has enjoyed positive reception out of town as well, and there song, "zero hour" is a featured track in the Southern California surf/art showcase film, Below Neptune.
